Onshore pension trustee
We support all kinds of occupational pension schemes as a sole or joint trustee. We’re skilful negotiators, adding strength and depth to a trustee board. And we use our experience to resolve complex issues, always balancing the interests of the trustees and the employer.
By keeping pace with changes in public and private sector pensions, we make sure that scheme assets are properly protected - and opportunities for de-risking or enhancing are taken. Our support also helps to reduce costs and the time spent by sponsors on scheme management.
Most of our clients appoint us as an independent pension scheme trustee in a corporate (rather than a personal) capacity - so there are no succession planning concerns.
Pension scheme services
Our London team acts as sole trustee and/or chair of trustees for:
- small, medium and large schemes
- ongoing schemes
- closed schemes
- schemes in wind-up or with insolvent employers
- schemes in the PPF assessment period
- schemes with complex regulatory and multi-disciplinary issues.

Our experience
We’ve acted as an independent pension scheme trustee for a diverse range of clients – from public sector organisations and statutory bodies to charities and companies listed on the London Stock Exchange.
We were involved in negotiations that resulted in the Pensions Regulator issuing the very first Financial Support Directions in the much publicised Sea Containers case. And we also acted as trustee for the first all risks buyout for the Emap final salary scheme.
